What is Shopify?

Shopify is a popular ecommerce platform that, as of February 2021, boasts over 1,700,000 brands in 175 countries. Their software makes it possible to create a website, add ecommerce features, connect your business bank account, and start accepting orders online.

As we wrote about in our blog post on ecommerce trends, online commerce is a $4 trillion dollar market today and growing over 9% year over year. Given the variety of businesses that use Shopify, each has slightly different needs.

How Our Integration Works

To connect Shopify with Alluxo, you only need two things:

  • An existing Shopify store
  • A free Alluxo account

Once you have both of those things, you can follow these simple steps.

First, log into your Alluxo account on any desktop or laptop computer. (You cannot use our mobile apps to add/remove an integration.)

Next, click on “Connections” from the menu on the left. Click on the “Manage” button next to Shopify. You will be routed to Shopify’s website and asked to connect Alluxo to your store.

We will only be able to read your Shopify store data. We never have access to your account and cannot change the data in your account.

Once you have completed this step, click on “Charts” in the menu on the left. Here you can click “Create Chart” and start tracking metrics. Once you create a chart, you are done with your work. We will access the historical data, update the metric daily, and visualize it for you automatically.
